I am considering using the Bafang 750W Mid Drive BBSO2 and a 52v 17.5a battery Shark Slimline. Anybody have any issues making this conversion? Will I need a new chain ring, or chain? Thanks
I'm thinking of purchasing an offset left pedal crank to even out the Q factor. Does anyone know why Johnny doesn't offer a cheaper alternative to the Lekki Buzz Bars?
because they are hard to source. there are some vendors that sell the offset, just can be tricky to find. diamond/square taper standard crank set with the left one offset 15mm or so. if you search a bit you can find some cheaper i think
I am continuing on with my 2018 Trek DS 2 L Conversion and am wondering how others have dealt with the issue of the shift cable guide running along the bottom
bracket and interfering with the motor placement. Thanks!
not sure on that bike, make sure it has a compatible BB (68-73mm threaded) or some others require use of adapters. if so and u have enough space for battery then it should be fine. yes youll need a new chainring for the motor and a chain to match it. the chainring depends on your desired gear ratio for the terrain you ride. u can go with the stock bbs02 ring, 44 or 46t i think, but a lekkie chainring is ideal, 42t is the lowest teeth you can go with the bafang kits while having good chainring offset (to keep proper chainline)
