Just something to consider - I have a Trek Verve2 step-thru that I wanted to convert with a bbs02. Appears that it will NOT be possible as the downtube is oversized and the BBS02 doesn't have sufficient clearance between the bottom bracket and the motor. I *could* dangle it off the bottom of the bike but am concerned about catching the wiring on things, etc. Looks like for this bike a hub motor is going to be the best option.

We got it to fit, the shift cable guide stick out and doesn't let the motor slide on no matter how you. rotate it. But we got it on. Just know that if you have a VERVE, you will need to modify the frame a little.
I'm doing a Verve 3 disc right now. The only issue I have is interference from the rear shift cable guide under the BB. It's pretty tall so the motor interferes with it. But I'll just put a shorter guide in there and everything should be fine.
I did a Verve conversion last fall. I had to grind away a bit of the frame to get the Bafang mid motor to slide in. No big deal. The frame in that area is built like a tank.
Definitely depends on how much clearance you need/want. I’ve done a few Verve bikes with BBS02 motors.
