Specialized 2015 Stumpjumper 29er Mid drive conversion question
Hi All
I have found out the following informatin about my bike after a lot of searching.
It has a PF30 bottom bracket
External diameter is 46mm
Intrnal diameter is 30mm
and width as i know is 73mm.

I have a Marin aluminium frame mountain bike, would the Bafang BBSO2B motor unit fit this frame ? thanks and how would I determine the new chain wheel offset dimension to ensure a correct chain alignment?

Battery placement?
Greetings,
I just picked up a Bafang and battery and plan to convert this bike. Right now, the plan is to create a tray to hold the battery basically going right across the top tube. Does anyone have experience doing that on this type of frame, or any concerns with to high of center of gravity with that location? First build and first e-bike so any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you. Unfortunately it does not fit on either angled side and would need to bridge that dip.
I posted the same question on Reddit and was informed I should run from this bike and look at getting a better used one that will be more up to the task of conversion in regard to safety, stopping, etc. I fear they may have a point.
