Hi There, I am looking for my next donor bike for my next retrofit. I have a BBSHD kit on my current mountain bike. Looking to upgrade mow to a full suspension frame and was hoping there would be recommendations of bikes that will fit the 68/73mm BBSHD. I live in Canada for reference.
Thanks y'all!
yo most, many bikes will fit it, long as theyre BSA threaded. pressfit may be a no go though there are adapters for some. examples - most specialized and big brands, stumpjumper is a good candidate thats relatively cheap, or giant, transition full susp frames. depends on your terrain and stuff exactly what type of mtb you need. im waiting for a lighter better motor kit to convert a carbon frame full susp as the bbshd is a heavy monster 14 lbs plus a battery... just make sure the BB is 68 or 73mm BSA threaded which is VERY common and standard and the motor kit will fit. if you have a 73mm BB, use a Lekkie one nut to secure the motor and you may need offset cranks to even the pedal difference. hope that helps
