Im currently using a 1x9 setup 50x11. shifting isnt the greatest. I use nuvinci 171's on my reverse trike builds, they work great but are stupid heavy. I would also like a Granny gear on the mountain bike so I dont want to hack up my top end by reducing the front sprocket. Im happy with my chainline using 42 Lekkie on the front of my BBBS02. So I guess my question is... Will an 11S or a 12S handle this type of torque with out bending up the cogs in the rear? the shift sensor is a must in my opinion and it works ok. Ive recently did the opensource firmware for BBS02 and it has an area where you can tweak the shift time that it dims the power out. I want to go CVT but need the range, but cant afford the IGH or a Rohloff. Any MTBer's out there running a heavy NU-vici 171? or an enviolo 380?
