Has anyone been able to purchase a motor without buying the full kit? I've done a lot of experimenting with accessory parts so I would only need a motor, harness, and speed sensor to build a second bike
I'll be riding it 90% of the time in & around town. Ur advice will be appreciated big time, now I hope I understood you right when you said that 30or40 mph was all u would recommend, if not please advise me. I just bought a Mongoose 26" mountain bike 7speed, with the 4"wide knobbie tires & disc brakes. Can & would u be able to convert that for me ? I'd like a bafang mid drive motor 1000w and depending on ur advice, I'd be happy with 30to35mph, now does that mean I go with the 52v battery or ??? Also, front & rear fenders with the luggage rack on the back. There may be more accessories added later as I think of them or if you recommend something. All I need now is an address on where to send my bike & how much is it going to cost ? Thank You Oh,by the way this is my 65th B-Day present to myself which is June 6th, I've been the proud owner of an original 750cc 1967 Matchless Scrambler & one 1000cc HD Sportster & last but not least, a 2007 HD ROAD KING which I no longer have any of anymore. Thanks Johnny, looking forward to hearing from you very soon.
Is it possible to get one of Johnny's MXO25 48V 1000W 26" FAT TIRE ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN BIKES that goes faster than 30mph ? Like 40to60mph just wondering, cuz if there is one out there & reasonably-priced I'd pay cash. "TODAY"
umm its not that simple. 40-60mph sounds cool, but do u know what goes into achieving that? u need a hella motor, proper gear ratios, which may not be suitable for your terrain. ie if you have flat terrain, you pick a larger chain ring, if you have steep terrain, you pick a smaller one, each has trade offs, torque vs speed. if you want a commuter bike for flat terrain, maybe a cyclone could get you to 40+ on a large front chain ring like a 52t? then again cyclones are for off road only, so be aware of regs if u care to abide. honestly its not safe going over 30-40 mph on a bicycle, eventually you may crash, and if so, could be ugly...better to keep it safe and steady, 30-35 tops, and sparingly at least for me.
hmm idk but if u need another motor why not get the whole kit? only costs maybe 25-50$ more and u get an extra display, cutoffs, cables, etc. may come in handy one day if something on one of your kits breaks.
