My wife has an Electra Townie 3i. It has a Shimano 3 gear speed selection along with braking in the internal gear hub (rear wheel). Is this a good bike to convert to an ebike? My major concern is that my wife mainly breaks using only the rear hub brakes. Does the motor sense this braking action and cut power to the electric motor?
