Hi. Which is the best conversion for this (26" wheels, cantilever brakes)
Use case: 1. Commuting, errands, putting around town (hills and flat areas mostly on road)
2. light off-road occasionally.
Options:
mid-motor BaFang? How much 1000w, 750w, 500w
rear hub?
Do you need disc brakes with mid-motor?
Do I need to change the brakes? (drop outs are wide enough).

Great info.
Cantilever brakes use same mount as vbrakes but require a cable to engage both sides. and the fulcrum is on the frame or headset /handle bars. Tandem bikes still uses cantilever as the odds are thicker and more durable.
