Troubleshooting

And there was a small spark

I was cleaning up the jumble wires on my handlebars and unplugged all the connections so I could reroute them. I was using a hex key to loosen the display mounting bracket. Some how I shorted one of the pins in the green connector to the motor. Now it will not power up. What are the chances of fixing it.? Are controllers separate from the motor or do I just get a new motor? Bafang bbhd.

I’d start with replacing just broken cable, whether it’s the display or wiring harness. Those are cheaper than replacing the motor/controller
