Buggy new DM02 install

Hi all, I just completed a restomod ebike conversion on a '70s era Schwinn Suburban. It's a nicely balanced system, but it has an annoying bug. My last two shakedown rides have revealed a strange glitch. The motor seems to arbitrarily stop responding to torque input from the pedals. The pedal/torque icon illuminates on the display, but no motor response. Shutting down and restarting the system gets me going again. I updated the firmware of both the display and the controller, between the power loss events, so I'm at a loss. Anybody have a sugestion?

Here's the bike:

Sorry to post on my own question, but I figured out the problem. The brake sensor magnet is located a bit too close to the activation point. So, if I let the brake handle snap when I release them, the sensor activates. A little refinement is needed. The firmware update was a mixed blessing. I can no longer access the advanced menu, but I now have the Eco, City, and Sport modes, instead of M1 and M2. Unfortunately, the Eco setting is a bit too high for my needs. Sad. Otherwise, I'm loving the motor and the conversion.
