Q: Will this kit fit on my bike?
A: 99% of bikes are compatible with our Mid drive motor kits. Some bikes require a specific motor based on mounting difficulties, and some bikes require very slight modifications, usually accomplished with an adapter of some sort that we also carry in our shop. If you have questions, text us a pic of your bike and any specific questions and we will do our best to reply ASAP
Q: What tools are needed for the install?
A: We offer a complete tool kit found here. https://www.johnnynerdout.com/product-page/all-u-need-to-install-tool-set
use this kit as a reference to see what tools you may already have and simply order those tools individually
Q: Can I install this kit myself or do I need a bikeshop?
A: Most customers can do an install in 3-6 hours. If you are comfortable with basic bike maintenance, you will be fine. If you can build Ikea furniture using their instructions, you can do this with my video install guide easily. I also offer consultations if you want me to check your work or offer assistance before starting/ ordering.
Q: Will the kit work with my hydraulic brakes?
A: Yes. You don't need to use the brake sensors but we do offer optional sensors that attach to your existing levers for better safety.
Q: Does the kit come with a battery?
A: Some do and some don't. If you are not sure, check the product title and description.

A: 6 months against manufacturers defects, I don't cover user error issues.
Q: Do I need to program anything?
A: No. Depending on the kit, we do offer programming cables for those that want really dial in their performance. Some kits allow this via a bluetooth app.
